We work to create a Trusted Platform between the Market Economy and the authorities that ensure fair competition, combat grey economy and provides the means for secure and reliable data exchange. Our ultimate goal is a fully functional European Digital Single Market where companies from various countries are given the same opportunities to work across borders.
The Act on the Contractor’s Obligations and Liability when Work is Contracted Out became effective in 2007. For clients, it meant an obligation to check the background of their supplier. The federations in the construction business started thinking about how to make the client’s background checks easier, which led to cooperation between the companies Aspida Oy and Rakennusteollisuus ry. The Reliable Partner service, today providing up-to-date interpretation of the Contractor’s Obligations Act, was based on this cooperation.
The cooperation started well, and the result was the foundation of Suomen Tilaajavastuu Oy. The organisations that became the majority shareholders of the newly founded company were Rakentamisen Laatu RALA ry and Sähkö- ja Teleurakoitsijaliitto STUL ry. Late in 2012 the company was reorganised and the ownership base expanded to also include Suomen Kiinteistöliitto ry, Talonrakennusteollisuus TRT ry and Rakennusteollisuus RT. Today, we are a company wholly owned by the employer organisations of the real estate and construction industry.
The Platform of Trust is created in cooperation with our Partner Ecosystem, European Authorities and the Market Economy. We are looking to improve our cooperation with the authorities, find new partners and identifying mutually beneficial business opportunities. The market economy will benefit from less bureaucracy, leaner processes and increased efficiency, quality and transparency.
